Miza and Syelma

Miza and Syelma were two angels conceived in the hearts of two teenagers in their days of first touch of cupid. It was when love first touched their teeny tiny hearts and filled it with promises of having somebody who would be there for them no matter how bad circumstances turned them into.

Miza emerged from the life that her mom had lived and left far behind in the memory world. In the old dusty town, growing up with folklores shared around a ‘miza’ tin, the name MIZA signified the days she had spent with her family- complete and together.

Holding a Barbie doll in her hand, sitting in her best friend’s room, she decided to call her daughter MIZA. The friend laughed at the absurdity of the name. “MIZA…..is a sharchokpa term for the fire ambers. Back in the days when I was with my parents we used to build miza in the tins to warm ourselves during cold wintry evenings. I shared many moments of a family’s togetherness around those miza tins. So I expect my MIZA to bring back those moments of family and love in my life.” She boomed knowing that her friend then understood the real motive of having that name.

Miza would be chubby and sweet. She would be emotional, just like her mom and learn to spread love. But most importantly Miza’s role was to unite her mom’s forlorn heart with people she would call her family. (Wow! So much of a dream in the heart of a teenager!!!)

“Then I am gonna call my daughter Syelma,” her friend giggled, absent-mindedly caressing her doll’s hair like a mother would do. Syelma, unlike Miza was a dream for future; a future that promised secrets leading to the pinnacle of success. The name itself is a fresh gurgle that would fill the secret urgings of her teenage mom when she became a story of success. “S….for Success….and S…..for Syelma,” she laughed with full confidence of the future that waited for them.

Syelma would have the Barbie doll figure with style and fashion her first priority and the mesmerizing poise of a person who would know her way into the alleys of success. She would exude charm with an extravagant touch of style in the world of dying ideologies of the old world. (Isn’t this what her mom felt she deserved????????)

Miza is born. As was dreamt of, she is bubbly and sweet and is on her way to fulfill the agenda with which she was sent on the Earth. God had given specific instruction based on the prayers sent by her mom before her birth.

Syelma is still getting lessons on the poise of angels and is yet to come in her mom’s life to set the shape she would be sent on Earth for.
